Grocery Industry Virtual Office Hours: Consumer Education and COVID-19 on August 20th

COVID-19 Food Industry

The Food Industry Alliance (FIA) of New York State, Inc. and the Institute for Food Safety at Cornell University (IFS@CU) are co-hosting Grocery Industry Virtual Office Hours: Consumer Education and COVID-19. Messaging and communications during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic are key to retail food businesses maintaining consumer confidence and trust. This session will focus on the importance and delivery of consumer messaging that uses science-based information and effectively battles against misinformation related to COVID-19. You will have the opportunity to speak directly with our panel of faculty from Cornell University and ask questions related to COVID-19. The panelists are subject matter experts in sanitation, epidemiology, microbiology, food safety, marketing, consumer decision-making, and food industry management. Virtual office hours are free and open to anyone in the food industry from farm to fork, but registration is required.
